Birth to Five
The Maryland Infants and Toddlers Program (MITP) directs a family-centered system of early intervention services for young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families.

By recognizing each family's concerns and priorities and focusing on each child's strengths and needs, the MITP assists families of children with special needs during the first four years of the child's developmental journey.

Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC)
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of houses of faith with a mission to foster a city-wide vitality that lifts people out of poverty and improves the quality of life for all.

HARC partners with early childhood initiatives, acting as a conduit of information to the faith community, and engaging the faith community in supporting their work. Two primary HARC initiatives are Learning Parties, teaching parents how to prepare their preschool-age children to enter Kindergarten "ready to learn," and a Community Book Drive, partnering to collect and distribute books to at-risk children ages birth-eleven.

Hagerstown Community College
HCC is a state- and county-supported comprehensive community college whose purpose is to offer a diverse array of courses and programs designed for university transfer, career entry or advancement, adult basic skills enhancement, general and continuing education, as well as student and community service.

Head Start of Washington County, Inc. is dedicated to making a difference in our community through comprehensive child and family development services.

Healthy Families
Healthy Families is a home visiting program for residents of Washington County who are pregnant with or parents who are caring for their first child. The goal of the program is to support parents in their desire to create a safe, stimulating and healthy environment for their children.

The Office of Child Care (OCC) is responsible for licensing and inspecting all child care centers and family child care providers in Maryland. The Office of Child Care (OCC) also administers Maryland's subsidized child care program for working families and administers the state's Child Care Credentialing System.

The Judy Center
The mission of the Judy Center is to provide comprehensive, integrated, full-day, full-year services that promote school readiness for children birth through age five.

Washington County Family Center
The Washington County Family Center is a community-based, child-centered and family-focused program that provides on-site services to expectant parents and parents with children under the age of four.

Its target population is parents between the ages of 15 and 26. The Family Center provides a comprehensive program of education and social services that meet the individual needs of young parents and their children in an environment that promotes respect, academic success and positive parenting.

Washington County Free Library
Washington County Free Library system is composed of a Central library, seven branches and a bookmobile.

It serves all the citizens of Washington County providing for their informational, educational, cultural and entertainment needs. The library provides early learning classes for children birth to 5; science and literary classes for K-12 students and concerts, lectures, workshops and entertainment programs for adults. Our libraries have materials for independent learning, do-it-yourself projects and scholarly pursuits as well as entertainment needs for all ages and abilities.
